Is Your Voicemail Message Contributing to Lack of Response in Your Job Search?
You've practiced your interview questions and your resume looks great, but what happens when a hiring manager calls and gets your voicemail?
Does your voicemail message have your favorite song playing in the background? Are your kids voices on the machine? Or worse, does your message say something like....."Hello? (long pause) I can't take your call right now..."
If you can't answer personally, make sure your voicemail or anyone answering the phone during your job search is capable of taking a detailed message for you.
This is one critical piece of the job search puzzle that is overlooked far too often. Wouldn't it be a shame to lose an opportunity over something as easy to change as an outgoing voicemail message?
